About The Artist

"My interest in art began as a child. By the age of thirteen, I was learning the fundamentals of drawing by copying the drawings of Michelangelo and other Renaissance masters.  As my interest grew, I received encouragement from my family as well as my high school art teacher.  Later, while I was serving with the U.S. military in Europe I was able to visit some of the great museums of Europe, such as the Louvre in Paris and the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museums in Amsterdam. Experiencing the work of the Old Masters firsthand was a moving experience and made a lasting impression on me.

"Later, while recovering from an injury, I began a serious study of drawing, painting and design, studying and taking notes from art-related books in my local library.  With this knowledge, my direction as an artist began to take shape, an eclectic range of subject matter drawing inspiration from the great artists of the past."
